Setting up a Quarantine Tank

Good Morning,
I purchased a 10G starter setup from a LFS this morning to use as a QT system. It's a 10G Glass tank with a Marineland BioWheel filter, heater and LED light. I added a small power head as well. I didn't want to get a tank off Kijiji because I wanted something I knew was clean, plus the price was good. So, questions I have are:

Do I add some LR from my DT?
Should I run the BioWheel?
Should I have some filter floss in the filter or no?

I was planning to use this to hold new fish for a few weeks before moving to the DT.

Any other tips or thoughts?

Thanks

I woudl run the filter... toss a bit of liverock in there, no substrate.    I woudl buy a filter sponge or somehting and sink it in your sump on your main system.  When you are goign to use the QT then take the sponge and toss it into the QT tank.  The bacteria on the sponge will keep the QT from cycling too hard when livestock is added.

If you wish to use this as your treatment and hospital tank then the LR shoudl come out.  But I woudl still throw a piece in to seed the biowheel filter at the beginning just remove before treatment.  Assume the QT tank and stuff used as contaminated after a treatement and shoudl not be placed into your display system.
