I’ve used a few of the typical reef putty I can’t remember the name one was d&d but I didn’t like the coraline colour. I think it’s aqua stick i use right now. It cures grey and is a one stick putty(the second part is in the core of the stick) it works good but it smells. they are great for attaching plugs and small pieces in place but the figicrete I used to make my aquascape is amazing for creating shapes. I did it all out of the water. Works best when rock is still wet. If you can take what you want to work on out of the water for a few minutes (it sets super fast and cures in water) You will have great results.
