I have rock in both my display and sump I have the light turn on on my sump when the lights turn off on my display it seems to help keep things more balanced I have a 90gal display and a 100gal sump I figure I have about 250 to 300lbs of rock
That's a ton of rock for a 90, I'm just looking at making my display More attractive with out a pile of rocks piles up in one another, I have 100 pounds in my 65, build thread to follow
I have minimal rock scaping in my display, so I have about half of my sump with live rock.
Have egg crate under it. Low flow. Covered in sponges etc.
Throw the odd hermit crab down there too.
Most of the rock is in my sump I also have chaeto and micro algeas growing in my sump that's why I have the light turn on opposite to the display tank it's also full of cocapods and rotifers and other critters living in it
