Ok so I been having hugge algae problems lately in my dt. As bad as Gh forming on the glass again. It's 8 months old!!!!! WTF...... So I decided to test my tap water and my RO water for phosphates with my API test kit. And guess what!?! There were more phosphates present in my RO water than My tap water. How is this possible? Is it possible thAt the membrane in my RO system once took the phosphates out but now is leaching them back into the wAter 10 fold? What's going on?!?!?

The RO system is 8 months old? Buy it new or used?
I would replace the filters, read somewhere online or it was on a youtube video.. the guy had the same problem old filter and it was outputting high phosphates.

No sorry I worded it wrong I guess... My tank is 8 months old. I haven't had a problem with algae until the last month or so. My RO system is only 3 months old... It was brand new when they installed it... I called them and they requested a water sample and told me it would be replaced if it was the membrane. As far as filters go I was told by them that the filters are to be replaced every 18 months

I do believe it is the membrane that takes out phosphates. either that or the carbon. either way being only 3 months old.. something is defective
