It's time to replace the cartridges in my RO Unit.
I live in the country, using well water and was thinking which type of cartridges would be the most appropriate for my situation. I know I have iron and sulphur and probably a few types of heavy metals in my water.
I have no idea if I have Silicate in my water, but I noticed there are regular membranes for sale and membranes that deal with high-silicate, but at a much higher price.
Here is a list of the cartridges I have in my RO Unit now....

SpectraPure SilicaBuster Colour-indicating DI Cartridge- DI-SB-CI-10
Reverse Osmosis 1 Micron Cartridge ( Should I go to the .05 Micron cartridge? )
Reverse Osmosis Carbon Block Cartridge
Aqua Equipment Reverse Osmosis membrane TF-1812-100

My RO unit is a 4 stage AquaFX.
Any advice on the appropriate cartridges for my situation would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

Its had to say without doing a proper water test to see what you have in your water completely. Where are you located and I will have a better idea.

I just sent out a water sample to Marinlab so I should know what’s in my RO water in a couple weeks.
Hopefully nothing is in it. ☺️
