So I fired up my aquasafe ro/di filter tonight...

Wanted to see the water quality I can produce since I'm ready to start making my saltwater!

Before filtration 150ppm, after ro/di, 4-5ppm.  I'll assume this acceptable level for my tank?

Tested...  3ppm been running 30mins.

This isn't a brand new ro/di..  But it doesn't have many Gallons through it..

Maybe need new filters?

Re: Ro/di water, and your tds reading

I'm down to 1ppm..  I mistakingly had the hot water tap on a little bit too.  So water going through filter was slightly warm.

Anyway,  I'll continue to check..  I'm satisfied at 1ppm.

I'll order new filters and resin anyway..  Why not,  I'm this far already!

warmer water makes the membrane work more efficiently, not hot, but 25c is supposed to be best if you can acheive it
