Looking into buying a new return don't want a keep using this mag. Looking for quiet as its in my room, and energy efficient. Also must be internal.
I was looking at the jebao dct-4000, will that be enough power or will I need the dct- 7000, or 9000. It's only going up a foot since the tank and sump are in the same room, and only travelling 10-12 feet. Thoughts?

You should post more about your planned build as not everyone knows the tank sizes etc. You can not beat Jebao for the price, but I would do a Vectra M1 pump if the budget allows.

I'll take a look at the vectra tho. Which jebao model do think would be good for my size tank?

The Vectra is a quiet pump but you need to use with caution the Vectra L1. The L1 is not CSA certified in Canada and is not legal for sale here. The US will ship it here but if you use it and it caused a fire your house insurance will not cover it. I was told this recently when i was trying to buy one. I instead got the M1.

IMHO if your trying to save power go with the larger DCT and reduce the rpm, for example my pool pump running at 3500rpm uses 1000w of power when i drop the rpm to 2500 rpm the power consumption drops below 500w.

The RLSS line of DC pumps work well too. We use them on 6 or 7 of our tanks we service and have never had any issues. I use one on my home tank and never an issue and they are quiet. More reliable than jebao and less money than the Vectra

I've been running a DCT 12000 for a year with ZERO issues. I ordered mine through Sealife Central which I believe came from reefsupplies.ca
