Return pump sizing

Trying to plan equipment out for a future build.

Wondering peeps thoughts on return pump sizing.

It'll be for a 75 gallon tank, I would like to possibly branch off the return to a bio pellet reactor. Not sure on hole size, haven't purchased a tank yet. Looking at a pre drilled AGA.

I was thinking a mag 7? Or maybe higher if I'm tying in the reactor?

Also any other pump suggestions other than mag?

i using a waveline dc 5000  pump  it has remote wired controller  ..its tied into my gfo reactor and will be tieing my bio pellet reactor soon

im running a mag 18 on my 75 but the sump is 5 ft away and not under the tank. A mag 7 should work great or even a mag 9 you should have no issues with either of them . I have always used a mag and have never used any other type of pump , mind you I have never had my sump in my basement and tank on another level , then your talking reeflo darts or barracuda

yes you can always put a valve on the return

I run a Mag-12 for my return, tied into a biopellet reactor and a dual reactor.
Seems to work fine for my 90. Its plumbed directly under my DT

I'm using a mag18 on my 90g and I'm going to be usinng a mag9.5 for my new 45g cube build. Running pellets and a duel reactor off it.
