Question For Dosing Pumps

I dose with Fauna Marine Balling Salts. The starter kit came with jugs. I just drilled into the lids to insert the line and reuse the jugs.Also what’s the difference in the “slave” unit and “master” unit ? Sorry for the questions
Master is stand alone, no controller needed.
Slave needs a GHL controller like the Profilux 4 or is connected to a Master as a second doser.
Never a need to apologize for # of questions. I would rather someone have an educated decision, even if it isnt my suggestion or recommendation. I am hoping that we get more details on the Kamoer wifi as that is my option 2 right now, or at least until the Ecotech Versa is released. I may have to have a look at that.

So if I get the director, 4pump master doser I’m all set (with the refillable alk) it’ll auto correct , dose etc etc when all set up all controlled from your app ?

It will auto correct within safety parameters that you select. Say you dose 4ml 12 times a day. With a goal of 10dkh. You set a safety of 1ml+/-. If it tests at 9 dkh it will increase the dosing up to 5ml, no more, 12 times a day until testing back at 10dkh. Same goes the other way, if it tests 11 dkh then it will dose 3ml instead of 4. That is just a quick example. There is more info with partial doses etc when you set it up extra, but basically it wont drop an insane amount of ALK if you have a bad test etcetera.
Without the controller you would require a Master Doser 2.1 (aka Standalone Doser 2.1) and a KH Director. Yes, it is expensive but honestly I have never had my alk that steady and it showed.
One thing to note is that it uses approx 80ml of tank water each test. Depending on your tank size (mostly just nanos) you may need to add SW as well as top off (or brackish top off) to compensate as the test water obviously cant go back into the tank.
