Ok so I'm currently running two overflows to keep the tank filtering properly. I was wondering tho, why can't I go buy 1.5" PVC and two 90 elbows and make my own u tube to increase the amount of water I syphin? Does anyone think it's possible or will the tiny gaps between each connection cause it to break? Is there any Other material I can use?

we are talking about siphon overflows right? ya you can add siphon lines to increase the siphon speed. Im guessing though that the siphon speed is probally not the bottleneck though. I would imagine the bottleneck is the down tube from the over flow. Its not a siphon so the flow it can handle is alot less. There are some ways to "super charge" a siphon overflow. But I need more info, what diameter are the siphon tubes? how many siphon tubes does it have? what dia is the downtube? If you are going to buy some pvc I would probally go a different route. But ill explain that after I get some specifics on the overflow you are using.

...just read my post over...I think thats a record for how many times the word "siphon" was used lol
