So I have been debating to upgrade my protein skimmer from my current asm g-2, so I have narrowed down my choices to 2 and any other you guys may suggest. The single constraint I have besides not an unlimited budget is size, I only have a space of 12 x10. So that what's I'm holding to
Option 1- super reef octopus int-2000sss.
Option 2- reef dynamics ins-135
I have done a lot of reading on reef central and people seem to praise the reef dynamics what I'm looking for is first hand experience with them. Have you had one what do you think. What protein skimmer Are you running. This being the most importAnt part of filtration in my system I don't wanna cheap out or regret my purchase. Thanks in advance for the help

I had the SRO 3000int. AMAZING skimmer.
The bubble blaster pumps are hard to beat...especially with the 3yr warranty !

both have great reviews and solid support.

my research showed the RO unit to be a little bit more sensitive to water height and you need to put a muffler on the output or it will be loud as $h1t.

if i had to replace my skimmer I would probably narrow it down to the units you picked and just go with which ever was most convenient to buy. The only issue with RD is there is no Canadian support so you have to send it off to the US but I've never heard a bad thing about Jeff in the million reviews i read for RD.

im thinking the Reef Dynamics Unit is what im gonna go with. with the price and reviews it has i think itll be a good pick. I have read that the guy who runs it jeff is really good and always willing to help. I think im just gonna make myself alot of headaches with the SRO only due to optimal sump depth.
