Ok folks, believe it or not......
Im changing the water, 5g as usual no biggie....I accidentally bump my AI VEGA which sits atop a hood. If your thinking it already, it happened....the VEGA falls into the tank KERPLUNK GLUG GLUG GLUG as the air inside escapes and the cavity fills with water!!! FML I thought for sure the light was fawked and Id be posting free corals and fish tonight..... I immediately punch into the water Mr. Miagi style and pull out the unit. Luckily, the AC plug disconnected before it hit the water.....I unscrew the 4 screws and a big gush of water empties out of the VEGA....I disconnect all the light pucks and start drying the circuit boards....another stroke of luck, all the circuit boards are coated, meaning no exposed tracks..I grab my cedar salmon plank, toss the circuit boards on it and quickly to the oven!!!! 30 mins at 250 degrees and they come out nice n warm and dry....I reassemble the VEGA and I say a short prayer to the fish gods. CLICK, the four pucks flash white....darkness....the green wifi connection light blinks......then SOLID as it links!!!!................then VOILA!! back to where it should be at the programmed time....WTF how blessed am I....you wouldnt have believed it unless you lived through it....whew......I bow down to the VEGA designers!!!!
Still reefin!!! and shaking, my nerves are shot lol
