once you find the correct dose for your system it would be fairly stable.
here is a link to canreef, can't find the RC thread right now.

I don't think it did too well lol.  The thread you posted is from the seller, it was 2011, and nothing much since.

Not being a jerk, I just say careful of something that really smells of snake oil.  Unfortunately, this is a rather expensive hobby, very rarely does the 'cheap' fix work :)

What we all need is to find a huge dump truck of bulk ferric oxide so that we hall have 10 gal pails of it in the basement for $10 a pail lol  :)

The stuff is still on the market, Randy had piped in on it on RC but can't find the thread, he had nothing bad to say about it, must be used with caution as it works very well and can strip the phosphate quickly, use a sock to catch the flockulant.
I regenerate my HC GFO but still it is costly, and who really knows what they are putting in the rust, you only know what the manufacturer is telling you.

I agree with Salty, If the GFO is being used by so many then why is it so expensive? I'd love to buy it in 10 lb pails. You sure Jerry doesn't have a Dump truck in is back yard?

I'll sell you 10 lb of it if you bring your own pail ;) unfortunately the price won't get much cheaper :(

I'd love to do that but i'll have to sell my truck first. LOL You know it's not much money really to run the GFO constantly if it keeps the tank looking real good.

Update on my Phosphate levels, I continued with the Phos Guard in the Aqua Clear until it wouldn't go down past .15. I moved the bag to my Filter Sock on my drain and left it 2 days. I did replace it with another cup of new Phos Guard and checking it this morning it is down to .07 which is great. I do plan on running GFO probably try and get some from Jerry soon. No Algea to speak of just a bit of Diathom on the sand and rocks.

ive found that if you don't introduce phosphates you ll have no problems especially since your doing regular water changes.  salt and food, your only 2 culprits. use a phosphate free salt and the food i buy is rods food. check it out on web. totally natural and a great reef food. microspic up to alarge chunks.

Where do you get your Rod's from? As far as I knew they were only available state side.
