well ive noticed alot of discussion about cures/fixes for apistia.... so... myself recently acquired about 50 lbs of rock that was absolutely covered in the stuff, literally,  i decided to use all the treatments suggested and see which one works the best!

im starting with my good ole' peppermint shrimp..... then will probably go to copper-band butterfly, or some other fish.... then use chemicals... and if all else fails... turn the stuff into dead rock via boiling water and a week in the sun....

the tank is a 50g.... which is for-sale if you look at the NEW classified section :)

i bought a pair of peppermints.. they kept getting washed down the overflow to the basement.  Where there are no aips.  I kept moving them back up and every night they would go back down.  I eventually just left them there lol.

But I did just find another Aip after months of nothing and only seeing one in the first place.

I had some Apistia for months in my tank, actually there was a giant one right on the front of my LR that I was to lazy to remove. So I finally decided I should get rid of them being that they started to spread at the back and I was thinking of using a product to kill them but I liked the idea of a natural killer instead so I went with some peppermint shrimp again (I had some a while back too but had to get rid of them because they were eating my frogspawn). Within a few days all the visible Apistia was completely gone and haven't seen any since. I think you will be fine with the peppermints but may take them some time depending on the damage and also if they have an appetite for it.
