Oversized Skimmer?

I am looking at purchasing a skimmer this week while the sales are good, for my 120 build in the new year. I am going to have a 50 gallon rubbermaid stock tank as a fuge, 100 gallon as sump, and a 40 gallon frag tank.
The skimmer I am looking at is the Reef Octopus Elite 200INT. It is rated at 200 gallons heavy bioload - 400 gallons light bioload. I read somewhere that oversizing a skimmer is not always a good thing. Do you guys think this skimmer is overkill? I like that it is a controllable DC pump. They offer a 150INT version for up to 100 gallons heavy bioload, but I was thinking the 200 will be better should I ever upgrade/I don't particularly want to drop that much money on a skimmer rated at 100 gallons.

It helps to get the input of some more experienced reefers, thanks!

I think in general 2x water volume is recomended for skimmer. With your sump and everything your at 310 gallon so that would probably be perfect. But wait for more experienced opinions.
