Ok so i need some advice from the experts in lighting here. I am planning on replacing the t5s on my tank. i am currently running two fixtures. ones a 48" dual bulb and the other is a 36" dual bulb. right now i plan on replacing the two 48" bulbs and one 36" bulb as the other 36 is fairly new.

i been going on to bulk reef supply and pricing out diff bulbs. so far i really like the ati blue plus and the ati purple plus bulbs. ALOT. if i purchase those two in 48" bulbs my set up would go as follows....

front to back
48" blue plus
48" purple plus
36" actinic
36" 75.25

DO you think this will provide me with coral growth by eliminating the 10k bulbs? i want more of a purple and blue hue to the water no more white. but i don't want the appearance of ALL BLUE water like LEDs would provide. Anyone with some ideas please help before i order. again i do not want a white light to the tank i kno the aqua blue plus special is a 12k bulb so thats outta the quesiton. i think lol.

the aquablue 12k is actually a white with blue, can be used as a stand alone bulb

c/p:

The ATI AquaBlue Special combines the properties of a blue bulb and full spectrum daylight bulb. This unique combination produces a color temperature of approximately 12000K. This is great as a stand alone bulb or in combination with an ATI Blue Plus or an ATI True Actinic 03 BRS Note: The ATI AquaBlue Special is one of the most popular white bulbs. Has just a hint of blue.
