Ok so crazybizzle hooked me up with a killer skimmer. An hsa MTC 250. Has a mag 9 on it this thing makes insane bubbles n skimmate. However due to poor design the water output pumps out as much microbubbles as in the main chamber and it fills my sump like ten men! I can't get it to stop. Has anyone had previous experience with this kind of skimmer? Or an idea how to eliminate the bubbles? It fills my dt with them. Looms like poop! Help

if the skimmer was cleaned, it will need to build up a slime coat on the inside, usually 2 to 4 days, if the bubbles persist you may have to adjust the depth of the skimmer in the water, i find if the skimmer is too deep in the water it causes microbubbles to be released

Are u running the same skimmer? I'm missing the water output tube so the water is exiting directly from the output at the bottom of the skimmer base. This is where the bubbles are coming from. I tried to manufacture a tube that goes up to the surface but it restricted the flow too much an the skimmer would overflow even with the output wide open and air valve closed.

No I'm missing the adapter that redirects the output if the water. Therefore the bubbles flow out of the body as fast as they enter.
