Missing Starfish

I haven't seen my red fromia starfish in a few days in my 90 gallon and suspect he might be dead. Anything to do other than water changes to compensate for the potential spike? Haven't been able to find the body yet either.

If you have a CUC and he did die. I'm sure he's long gone by now.

Don't give up hope yet. Mine used to get into the smallest places in my rock work and I wouldn't see him for a long time. Then all of a sudden he would show up.

ya they can hide in the rockwork well if he is dead the nassarius and shrimp will make fast work of him

Don't give up looking for it until you find it, if it died and is not consumed fast enough or taken out it will pollute the tank, i had this happen to me when i had my 180 gallon setup

I guess it all matters on the size of it to determine the pollution rate

Ended up finding him in 3 pieces this weekend.. Unfortunate loss but at least it didn't decay in the tank!
