Looking for some advice on my canister filter. I noticed today that my water was cloudy on my tank. So did some checking out and no water through the pump. Upon closer inspection I noticed my intake hose was collapsed at the filter. So here is my problem. I hear the motor on pump running but can't get the water to run. Is it possible the pump on filter is ruined.anyone else ever have experienced this. Tried calling Marineland customer service support but not in until Monday. .. great customer service. Lol

If it is the same filter that I got a few years ago, its junk ! I went through three in one day. Every time I would hook up the intake pipe I would hear and see parts of the propeller break off. Pump motor is fine but you will not get water flowing with broken impellers.
I have not seen or heard any broken parts. I talked to Marineland and she was not very helpful. Was busy last night so I'll be taking apart today to check impellers and go from there

i used to turn my old canister on its side cuz it wouldnt get a proper prime..
