ok I have a korallia that has decided to run in reverse, suck not blow, quite appropriate for some situations but not in my tank LOL
another has a swollen split magnet, thank the reef gods that I have spare pumps that will suffice until I get a replacement or two.
Are there replacement magnets for the korallias available? older model of course. Nothing is simple ! and those Jaebos? pricing on the 40's anyone ordered one recently and have a ballpark figure for them?

It is a known concern with those pumps.

Jebao all the way. fish-street.com will be your cheapest/quickest bet. $7.50 in shipping I think...and you will LOVE these.

I have a 40 and a 25 in my 120 long (5') tank. The 40 alone does a wave across my tank.

I remember having this issue a lot with my hydors. Then I lost a part or the housing was wrecked a little (I can't remember) and they would never spin the right. Finally a couple quit and I just went with all tunze. Sure wish jebao was around when I bought my 6045s, 6055s, and nano wavebox.....

thanks guys
appreciate all the thoughts, will email Koralia and also look at buying Jaebo's and have the koralia as a spare, weird, I switched the impeller from the one that was running in reverse into the case for the swollen cracked impeller and voila ! it's working as it should !
Off to the Jeabo site to check the prices out ! thanks all !

I tried unplugging in and plugging it back in and nope still wanted to suck not blow ! swapping the impeller into the body of the split magnet worked like a charm ! Now to find an impeller for the other one and email for a new case !

I had this problem when they were on my tank every once and a while, eventually the magnets got swollen/split so I contacted Hydor and they replaced the covers+magnets free. Now I just use them for mixing salt :) but one of them is starting to go reverse again, I found I had to turn them on/off several times before they went the right direction, easy when you have a switched powerbar.

With an ac impellar like that, it is always a fifty fifty chance at going the right direction.  if it goes the wrong way, the impeller moves out and the end bumps into a plastic piece that only allows it to go one direction.  It breaks a lot.  It is also the reason why these things are so noisy.
