you mean 2 in a 24 gal nano ya that's fine rule of thumb is 1 in of fish per gal of water well this may vary but ya youl be fine with 2 but after that Wait a bout a month before adding anything else

im so frustrated. I have been hearing so many different things from people that has messed me up over all. It hasnt  cycled the rock is mature live rock ive been told. The nano cube is used so ive been told there is no need to cycle.  ive been told that with mature live rock there is no need to cycle.
see with this new information on cycling me being new takes it in and trys to make it work and ive just been screwed over every time.
so to answer your question no it has not been cycled.
Thanks for all your help

Maybe consider getting a test kit so you can test your water parameters once they are all good then think about adding fish after your tank has cycled

This was a great post to read...it's very clear you'll care about your fish and you'll likely notice how clowns can become hand tame like little dogs (mine will swim in my hand and rest between my fingers). If I were you I would wait at least another 4-6 weeks before you add another fish to allow your tank time to stabilize. I disagree with the advice Fishit has given you and I am providing you with more factual info:

1) The 1 inch per gallon rule applies to freshwater and is not a good idea for anyone.....most successful marine aquarists stick to the 1 inch of fish for every 5 gallons (this is why sumps are necessary). In a 24g nano cube you would be well advised to stick to about 3 fish total. You can usually find the recommended tank size for most species of fish online and their expected length when they mature. Remember the clown might only be an inch long now but you have to consider housing your little buddy for it's entire lifetime. A good aquarist can also surpass the anticipated lifespans that are posted online. My clowns are 6 years old now and a friend of mine had his for 17years. Most fish will live 10+ years if their owner doesn't do anything to kill them before that time.

Taking short cuts, overcrowding, incompatible tank mates & poor maintenance are most of the major killers of long life spans.

2) I would never let a friend buy a damsel. I love the looks of Dominos but ALL damsels turn nasty as hell when they get older and clowns
are just as hardy for new tanks (because they are from the same family/genera as damsels). Odds are your clown was all screwy for a few days because you didn't acclimate properly (they need longer acclimation time than some other fish....for some reason????). Read up on acclimation methods for future livestock and you'll be fine if you go slow and get used to keeping the tank as stable as you can before you populate with anything else.

Your clown will be fine if you don't add another one..... but it is cool to watch them interact.
