RC, and I dump it in within 10 mins of mixing (I have a hugh pressure pump that mixes 0TDS water and the salt). That said, it's usually below tank temps, and tends to drop the tank by 2deg, so I do wait at least an hour before I add any more new mix water.

Kent Reef Salt - usually 10 mins with power head. Minimum criteria is that it’s clear and the crystals are dissolved.

When I started out I used to do over night but I hated the films (I hear better salts may not do that)

I personally use aquaforest heat up my rodi to tank temp , power head in 5 gal bucket and mix a good hour and go , but I believe the longer the better , I just been doing this method for 2+ years now , just wondering if one day it’ll bite me in the ass lol

I saw a chart that showed the make up of the saltwater and how parameters changed over time, some were negligible others like coral pro were significant, that's why I changed to Fritz. I always heat to tank temp, stick a pump in my brute facing up so I get a good flow going and toss in the salt, typically one cup at a time until I get my 30g mix, hour or so later, test to see if it is close to tank then do the change or the next day, but I always feed my corals with polyp lab or frenzy first, then do the change. Works for me, everyone will have their own process. One week I drain from tank, other week from sump, general maintenance I guess.

Oh man, lol. I use a 5 gal jug with fritz. I just shake it around a bunch of times I’ve used it within an hour but I tend to leave it overnight. I’ll use 4gal and save a gal for spot cleaning(barebottom). Wash rinse repeat next week.

55 gallon drums inline with my ro/di unit. One drum is topoff reservoir, other drum is salt mixing storage station. Use Aquaforest reef salt. Never had an issue.
Usually let the water mix for 24 hours before using. 2 powerheads for mixing and a small heater in each drum.

Reef Crystals in 5G bucket with powerhead, no heater, usually overnight, weekly water change. Water in room temp by then and 5G change in 75G tank doesn't drop the temp much at all.
