How Many Tangs In Which Size Tank

I currently have 4 tangs in my 6 foot 135... 2 yellows, a purple (boss of the tank) and a Desjardine sailfish... thinking I want a black tang...

how many tangs dose everyone else have ?

I have 5 in my 120 but they are starting to get confrontational. I have 2 yellows, 2 hippos and a naso. My yellow tangs beat up one of the blues and am dealing with a stress induced ich outbreak now. I'd be careful at the point you're at. Once I crossed that threshold there was nothing but disaste after.

4 zebrasomas in a 6' will eventually end in trouble. As they mature they will fight to the death in that small footprint, it's inevitable.

Probably not what you wanted to hear but from my experience with tanks that size and larger, long term it will not end well

+1 To BigShow...if you want to have more tangs you need to spread it out amongst the various genus so they are not direct rivals...I'm surprised you don't have Thunderdome underway already....except Zebrasomas start out a little more passive but develop into bastards...
Acanthurus get into "two tangs enter...one tang leaves" much sooner.

I make sure there's always a sheet or two of algee in there for them and none of the.lm care about each other. they all school together... and my foxface joinsair them, hopefully they all stay friends

I have a sailfin, a hippo and a yellow foxface in my 135. The sailfin can be a bully at times, and chases the hippo, but all seem to co-exist well. I wouldn't add another though. I'd be asking for trouble
