Horseshoe Crab

A couple weeks ago i picked up a 3” horseshoe crab. From what I had read, they are known to eat clams, but other than that are harmless (aside from bulldozing rockwork). That said, last week I noticed a few dead snails. No big deal, didn’t think much of it. Took a good long look at my tank today, and found about 5 more dead snails. The shells aren’t empty, but the innards are hanging out. Anyone had a snail killing horseshoe crab before, or is it more likely i have something else going on?
