I would like to get 3 200w Cobalt Aquatics Neo-Therm Submersible Heater. You defintately want more then one heater where neither of them if the lock ON will over heat the tank. As an example, I beleive you would need 600w of heaters for your tank. Getting 2 x 300w would be great as if one breaks in the ON position, it alone will not over heat your tank as the other will never come on, if they both lock ON, it will not over heat your tank either (but may be pretty close, which is why I say 3x200w, chances of 3 locking ON together is less). If one locks OFF then the other will be able to keep your tank decent and alive until you get a replacement for the broken...make sence?

As for a controller, I would advise against a heater controller, I would go for an Apex Lite or Reefkeeper, the cost is not that much more then a controller (probably cheaper then a controller with Reefkeeper) and you get all the benifits and control of having an Apex.

Yea definitely two heaters if you can.... I really like the eheim jagers.
I control the one via my aquariumcomputer but I like these ones a lot because they still come with a built in thermostat dial to set the temp at which each one comes on at. I set the one on my aquariumcomputer about a couple degrees higher than the setting in the computer and then the other that I just plug into the wall a couple degrees lower than the computer setting. This should help not allowing the main heater get stuck on and the backup heater (that I just plug directly into 120v) not come one unless main heater is not working properly.
I should add that I run two 300w heaters like this. You might want like two 250s or 300s.....even I have noticed my heater takes a while to heat the water....definitely not as fast as my chiller is at cooling the water down lol

I run two finnex 300w titanium heaters. These are awesome IMO. They have controllers that are hard wired out of the tank. Have had one for about a year running and never even a glitch. Great product and u can get them locally in London.
