hanging a light.

How far should my light be from the surface of the water.. its 6bulbs over 75gallon dominant tank..i feel thatbi have it too high but need some advice. Its about 7inches off the water right now. Thanks

I run my 8bulb 7-10" above the water. I'd say 7 is a good hight depends a bit on bulb combo
