Got my new ati bulbs today.
thanks Bill at Incredible Aquarium. Great guy. Great placed too deal with.

Definately not as bright white now. More blue. Colours look better.
Went with 5 blue plus,2 coral plus and 1 purple plus

ya, she might not like it. If so, I will change on blue plus out for another coral plus

thats a nice combo. i also run the ati bulbs. 3 blue plus and three coral plus. very nice balanced colour. I find it a little too white for my taste though and am thinking about removing one of the coral and adding an actinic to see what that does.

i run  just one actnic and the others are all purple pls ble plus and a coral plus out of a 6 bulb and that one actnic is the whitest

Peter what actinic brand/model are u running? My uvl super actinics are purple.

It'll always look somewhat white with a coral plus or aqua blue special. They are a hard bulb to over power.

I have one ab special in an 8 bulb and my tank looks 14k. My next combo will run 4 blue+, 2 super actinics, purple plus and a coral plus. Ill probably my end up supplementing with some riyal blue LEDs to get it closer to 20k.
