GFO and how much to run in a reactor

BRS calculator figured 1.64 cups for 105 gallons as a starting point. I started with just one reactor and had a bit less then this amount mixed with carbon. I wanted to start slow as this tank is only about a month old. About 2 weeks later I put the rest of GFO mixed again with carbon in other reactor. Watched a video on BRS website that they mixed both. Now when I change it in a few week I am going to run GFO in one and carbon in other but do I stay at the starting recommended amount or can I add extra GFO. I don't want and issues this is why I am asking as I have read about too much GFO and burning tips of acros. Any advice welcomed

Thanks
Derek

GFO can be tricky, unlike carbon where I pack reactor. I run around 1 cup of GFO on approx 60 gallons of water. It all ready depends on how much you feed. I monitor your levels to see if they are being maintained, dropping or still rising with the amount you are currently using and go from there.

I swap mine about every month, used to do every 2 weeks but found it wasn't needed.
