Lead in galvanized iron home plumbing can periodically contribute to lead in drinking water. They are just metal pipes with a coating to help prevent rust, but eventually they will rust and that will also get into your tank.

I would not want to use them :/

Galvanized piping I don't believe is even used for potable water in a house or other dwellings.... I would stay clear of it if I was you.....can't see how a galvanized 90 would be much sharper of bend than a PVC or similar.....I'm sure you can make it work without having to use any sort of metal fittings....

Hey Adam,

Make sure you are taking pics of your progress and post a build thread in the members tanks section and start the next chapter of the 135 :^)
