i got three of the blue and whites, if i was to do it again i'd go with the full spectrum.

Why's that? Because of the look or because the blue and white isn't giving you the growth you want?

I will be using my blue/white. But if I was buying new I would get the full spectrum. Too many whites on my fixture, I rarely ever turn them on now that I dropped the fixture 4".

I read somewhere that Jason Fox says we are burning all our LPS. And that most LPS come from 20-less then 100 par. Though they can be acclimated to higher light.

However don't quote me on this. I don't remember where I read it.

I bought that unit in a full spectrum a month or two ago.  I didnt like it and returned it.  The spread sucked and colour left something to desire.  I went with a DIY T5HO setup with some added royal blue LED.  Just right!

You probably read that on a thread from jfox's last indo diving trip.... however one thing to keep in mind is that natural sunlight provides much more par value at what seems like a lower "light" value when compared to our electric lighting.....also i have read where there has been lps such as lepto found by robotic divers at depths of  more than 150m where light is pretty much non existant....jfox also claims that there is higher flow to many of these low light areas too which seems to contradict our belief thqt most low light corals also want low flow......good reads out there for sure!

No specific reason, i like the look. Maybe just to see it there was better growth with them or different colours on corals.

I'm also curious to see it!!

And regarding your COD payment... I order a fair amount of electronics stuff from China/Hong Kong and yeah those payments are pretty normal.  I find that the price of the item often triggers it.  Not sure where the breaking point is but my smaller orders for things like a single part, or a few PCBs, just get left in my mailbox.

I don't mind the colour, everything seems to respond and open up just as big as with the 250w mh...
Only time will tell with growth.
