Frag Racks

Can someone please tell me the purpose of frag racks? Can’t I just stick the frag on the plug in my rock work somewhere? Or should they go on racks for a bit first?

I like to use a rack mostly to be sure that the frag will be okay in the tank before gluing it down. They are a pain in the rear at removing, especially if I put something towards the bottom of the tank. Sometimes I also buy before I know what I am going to do with something lol.

A lot of times I also like to grow out and frag before I place things like zoas. Once they encrust it is much more difficult to remove and frag.

I use frag racks because I am a lazy person. Gluing down frags is hard work. Buy em and stick em in the rack to be placed...eventually.
