What is your quarantine procedure for new fish? In the past I have not done this, but with all my other fish doing so well I hate to chance it. I have a 20 gallon quarantine tank ready to go with canister filter and protein skimmer. Would it be best just to simply observe the fish for a few weeks and watch?

I just went though this , I got a 20 g long tank heater and power head/filter from amazon depends on the fish , but anything like tangs , I wouldn’t trust really just treat them for ich and velvet no matter what imo

What medications or regiment do you use or QT? I have never QT'd anything :(. I have had good luck so far, dipped all my corals before going in, that's about it. But i hear a lot of the effective Chemicals are hard to get in Canada.

Yes they are , I think you can buy nox ich on amazon , if not then a vet may have something, it really blows for sure up here in this hobby , I haven’t used any meds yet , but when I buy my last handful of fish I may have to find a bottle online or a vet ,

I don't know about this quarantine. So you hold a fish in a tank for awhile and its going to get stressed and you observe it and everything is great then you put it in your tank and it gets stressed again and gets ick, I'm talking about a powder blue tang, i guess thats the worst fish as far as i know anyway. I have a friend who has expearienced this 3x and the fish doesn't live. Whats the fool proof procedure?

If you QT correctly your system should not have ich at all. But you must start from day 1.
