And here is a video of one taking down a lionfish. I guess the lion isnt the king of the bottom of the ocean.

I had one or two in my 50g and removed one when I moved and set up my 90g. But I also caught one or two when I tore down my 90g. I never knew if I just broke them tryi.g to get them out and they regenerated? So I have no idea how many I had.

It's pretty common to get them in live rock. I got them from my first rock which was Walt smith Fiji.

I hope I never have one, nasty creature, luckily I have had no disappearing fish, makes me think twice about ever buying live rock though !

I dont think they often get big enough to take down fish in the aquarium. Mine mostly just ate softies.

Beg to differ. There was someone at Ricks first bbq that had one with pics that was several feet long.

Well now I know where the inspiration for the movie 'Tremors' came from. These things are ghastly... but at the same time pretty darn amazing. It's not often that the words 'predatory' and 'worm' go together....
