from leg to leg stretched out, this little bastard has got to be like 3 inches wide. It isn't small anymore.... Oddly enough I have not lost any fish so I am not sure what the hell he is eating in my tank to be growing like this. Obviously he doesn't live off SPS cause those are all dead....

:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

Man, looks like a lobster ;)
If it was me, i would try to remove him....creatures like that are usually just a nightmare waiting to happen. Nice looking torch tho.... Is that a gold torch?

The porcelain crab has feather like arms at its mouth that it catches food with.

I got SUPER lucky, I happened to be near the tank right before I was going to sit down for my KFC 8 piece bucket dinner (yes I know its disgusting that I can eat that much) when I noticed something pretty big wandering around on the sand bed near the front of the glass. The little bastard was just out in the open!!!!

I quickly grabbed my net and scooped his ass out! Now he is sitting in a tupperware container on my table, I am unsure what to do with him. I am contemplating making up a reason to visit Glen, and throwing it into his display tank while he isn't looking.... Hopefully Glen doesn't read this.... Lol.

Anyone think they know what it is now there are better photos?

Nice Pics, a full carapace view would help but... looks like Mithrax Spinosissimus if you have any rock or corals that are Carribean,  though there are likely Indo-Pacific relatives too.  Feed him well and when he gets to about 5 pounds GOOOOOD EATIN'!!!  ;)

Seriously google Mithrax to compare and Spino is one of the most common, a good match of characteristics from your pic and of interest to commercial fisheries lol

Oh and good catch too!! I still have a hitchhiker that I cant get my hands on...
