Just witnessed my Coral Banded shrimp releasing a clutch of her eggs. I bought a mated pair a few months ago, and her tummy has been green for a while, and recently it turned into brown dots. I just saw her climb up a rock and kinda shake them all loose!

Cool to watch, but damn, ALL the fish came out to feast on the free food! I think most of the eggs got picked off pretty darn quick. It was cool to watch her shake them all off her belly. She kinda dusted them off with her other feet it looked like.

I wonder how hard it would be to raise baby shrimps and sell em. lol.

Wow that's amazing, that's why I love this hobby. If I were you, not that I want to be you LOL but next time why not put them in quarantine and do some research on how to raise the young. Too bad you didn't get a video of it.

I saw the shrimp acting funny, and I tried to find my phone to snag a video, but it was too late. She climbed the rock and was kinda fending off any fish in the area with her pinchers. Then she spazzed out and started shaking the eggs off. I had seen her with a clutch of eggs before but this is the first time I've seen them actually get released.
