So my female clown has been more or less hosting my Duncan since about feb. today she destroyed it. I’m not sure to what extent because my lights are out but earlier today I watched as she buried into the middle and was ripping it up and spiting bits out At that point my Duncan looked like a donut. I’m worried she will have just killed a fist sized Duncan in a day that she had been living happily with for months. Why????

it's probably just exhibiting normal hosting behavior (that wouldn't be a problem with a proper host anemone). Unfortunately I'd say you've just been lucky so far. sometimes they nibble on the anemones. I think it's to keep immunity...?

sorry to hear.

Clowns are not very nice sometimes, I have a lone female Tomato clown in my tank. I had five clowns, one day a switch flipped and it killed all its tank mates one by one over a week period.

I tried everything moved rocks trying getting that damn clown out of the tank it would wedge itself in a rock and I could not find the thing. I’ve had 1 clown 2 cleaner shrimp and two large snail for the last six months. The sob even killed my strawberry conch
