I would agree with that as well. Less is more sometimes. The problem occurs when you slack too much on not testing water parameters, etc.

Lately, I have been paying very little attention to my tank and there definitely has been no ill effects. The glass gets very dirty but that's to be expected. The nice weather is here though (well somewhat anyways) and there are so many other things going on that my tank is kind of on the back burner right now. Feels more of a chore to do things with the tank as of late but I am sure that will turn around again later in the season.

There is one HUGE benefit from ignoring the tank though... My wallet has felt heavier lately.  ;D I have added my final fish (Thanks BigShow) and have actually accepted the fact that I have enough corals.... I never thought I would ever come to that realization.  ::)

My tank was the nicest when I had my hands in it a lot.  Of course that was mostly for pruning.  But also for cleaning (scrapping glass, basting rocks and corals)

Ultimately there is nothing wrong with putting clean hands in the tank on a daily basis, the problem is when you are constantly changing things and moving corals.  They need to be stable and can take months to get used to their location in the tank.

I agree that keeping your hands out of the tank (figuratively, not literally) can be a good thing.  As Darryl noted, constantly changing things isn't going to lead to good things typically, especially as far as finicky corals and SPS goes.  Changing salts, changing supplement or additive routine or introducing new ones, moving corals, changing bulbs constantly, trying to further fine tune the skimmer, etc. often creates more problems than it solves.  I think with experience over time more than anything it teaches you that KISS really is the way to go, and there is no substitute for good husbandry and patience.
