Im sure every experienced fragger here has a story so lets hear it, what works?

I tried the DIY bottle with 1/4 tubing with cut up scallop inside it.
almost 24 hrs without anything.

I know i have them because ive seen a fair sized one. All the youtube videos show these homemade traps catching tonnes of them, so maybe im just missing a step.

Any advice is most welcome.

Tank is a small bc29 with small amount of floor space.

Thanks!

Put two fingers onto a monster one under a rock last week, they swelled up and turned purple. I stuck waterproof foil tape on 'em (which burned like crazy) and then ripped it off. Must have got the bristles out, fingers were fine the next day, but if you feel something squishy under a rock, don't keep poking at it.

That said, bristleworms are completely harmless in a reef tank, and possibly necessary.

The tank had hair algae growing over every square inch of his tank it was so long it looked like a wheat field blowing in the wind. Older guy getting out of the hobby. Needless to say... I did not buy anything off him!
