It really depends on how much you wanna spend really if you have money I’d buy radion , you can also fix them from what I hear , and if you don’t want to spend money I’d go for controllable Chinese black box @Shooter000 tank always looks good and he uses a mars led

This is always a highly debated topic lol. Best is also in the eyes of the beholder. Best growth, color, cost, value...? I have seen some great black box sps tanks and some bad ones. I have seen some great Radion sps tanks and some bad ones. Your tank also is dependant on light itself.

I enjoyed my RapidLED Onyx lights that I ran for 2 years. I now run 2 used Radion G3 Pro and they are my new favorite.

I dont get fast growth with the MarsAqua but my colours are popp'n, also may be from not dosing anything, but for the money you pay they are definitely worth it

I think the going rate on a used g3 pro is in the $500 range, and I'd presume you need at least 2 to get going on a 6 foot tank. (more is of course better)

I think they're worth it...t5 bulbs are expensive.

Agreed on the G3 Pro. You can do 2 on a 6' tank, but you will probably need to switch out the optics to their wide angle. 3 would be best option but you could do 2 with the modification.

Just get 2. 3' MarsAqua's pay less than 600$ for both shipped to your house, that's half price for three of the G3's. ?, FYI :) , Ive been running them for almost 4yrs with no problems :)

Why do you want to switch? If it is just purely for asthetics then I would personally look into the ATI powermodules that have both LED and T5 and are fantastic for both growth and colour. Your welcome to check them out at our place. Or... you could add some reefbrites to your existing T5.

If you just want to switch to LED, I recommend the radion or the new GHL Mitras. The new Mitras are crazy bright and the spectrum on them is outstanding. We recently swapped out some radion G3 Pro for these lights and what a difference. Not only are we using less lights over the same area, we have way more par. I haven't tried the new Radion yet so I can't comment on those, but I am sure they are also great.

IMO those are the best high end LED fixutres out there. For SPS I would not give up the T5, just add some LED for colours. Combo seems to be the best of both worlds.
