I wish I could tell you.
They perch on top of your live rock and just look cool.  They have a lot of personality.  They can't swim properly because they don't have a swim bladder so they have a hard time catching fish to pick on them.  The experience I had with my flame hawk was that any shrimp I had in the tank before I put him in he left alone. When I tried to add new shrimp he eat them.  Really wierd actually.

this seems to be with most fish that are not crustacean safe. I had one scarlett hermit in my tank from the get go that no one harassed. I added ten more after stocking my fish and now i have three left...one is the original scarlett!
