Attaching Coral To Glass?

Trying to figure out how to attach a LG piece of Hollywood Stunner I just bought to the side glass of my 220g.

My original idea was to use an old mag float and glue the HS to the mag float but I could not get it to hold... even with lots of glue and putty.

Anyone else done this before? Suggestions?...

glue a small rock or a coral skeleton to a mag float and let it dry on air. Also a plastic stick in a small hall can be a good support for the rock.
then it will be possible to attach a coral to a rock.
I have this in my tank but the problem magnet is not strong enough to hold it on the glass.

I have had mixed success trying this. First you have to clean/scrape the glass really well, then you have to use a bit of putty for a really flat gluing surface, then you have to use gel glue, with some sort of support for the piece for at least 24 hours. Thing is, glue/glass bonds are not great. You would have better luck with a dab of silicone on the putty, but not sure how well that would set underwater.

I've had a large encrusting coral just pop off the glass before as well. In my current tank I glue to the plastic of the overflows, not the glass...

There are small flat frag plugs that are magnetic. I love them!
Not sure where to get them in Canada, though. Maybe someone knows?
