Are they good enough to put in a fixture?
Every time I see them running they look super dim. Do they do much or would blue plus bulbs be a better choice in place of actinic?

If you want some additional par for your tank, while still getting the actinic look, I would go with the Blue Plus.

Are you running a T5 fixture now… Which one?

I have 2 Actinic bulbs in my 8 bulb Sunpower unit and these bulbs are not noticeable when all 8 bulbs are firing.

They lack par in comparison to most other T5 bulbs, but do provide a nice effect for viewing if you just want to run the 2 bulb separately.

If you have supplemental RB led strips, this would be the way to go for colour "pop," and use Blue Plus bulbs to get more par.

Of course, it all depends what you are keeping in your system and how much par you actually want.

Don't have the fixture yet but I believe it's on its way. I was thinking of doing DIY rb supplements but likely not right away. I'm going for a mixed reef more sps as the tank matures. Just trying to get the bulb choice down as they are included in my deal. Need them either way lol and would rather get what's best

If its an 8 bulb unit, I would consider actinics, but if it is a 6 bulb, I wouldn't add any actinics into the mix.

I run actinics but they don't push out a lot of par and are easily washed out by most other bulb colours......

I run the 8 bulb ati and seems great to me I have whites blues and purple in the combination and get lots of colour pop

I like the look of 5 blue 2 purple, 1 coral. Gives a 20-22k.

I'm not happy with my choice either, I've got 4 Blue Plus, 1 Coral Plus 1 Purple plus and 1 36 inch Reef Brite strip 50/50. You would think that it's really blue, but I don't think so. I do like the LED, I was just expecting it to be bluer.

Swap the coral plus out with another blue.

Thoes 50/50 reefbrite LEDs hardly look blue at all IMO. It would have been better if it was all blue.
