So we went out to a sushi restaurant in Stratford tonight. I have always tried to sample a different sashimi each time I go for sushi, normally AYCE places but this one was by selection and they had a much larger variety, so new items to try.

Well not sure what to say about urchin other then it has the look and texture of baby food squash but has an after taste like I licked the ocean floor. Kinda what you'd expect to taste if you licked your protein skimmer. Not really gross but definitely an acquired taste.

Ya urchin is a VERY acquired taste. I personally have never tried it, but have been told many times it tastes exactly how you describe it.

I love sushi, but I can't bring myself to eat urchin.

Too many years working with fish. Reminds me of a "stiff check" YUCK!!!!

It tastes like week old fish left in the sun but with a slime texture. Worst taste ever and I am not a picky eater.

Come on guys any Sushi tastes like you licked the ocean floor, not a fan of it. I imagine it's not as bad as licking your skimmer cup but.
