Are Some Clownfish Inadvertent Anemone Killers?

Once upon a time I had a large purple and yellow anemone. I also have a pair of gold stripe maroon clowns. Once the clowns discovered the nem, it eventually split. A couple months later, both nems had shrivelled and died. This scenario happened twice, with the same pair of clowns. Once in my daughter’s tank, then in my tank when I moved them. Is it coincidence, or are the clowns too rough and killing them? The larger of the two clowns has recently discovered my large green bubble tip nem. It doesn’t look as happy as it did when it was by itself. Do I have an irresponsible clown?

I believe that that , I’ve had the same pair for 3 years and if I ever bought a small anemone my felmale would be to rough and it would be to stressed and shriveled up and died

Small nem and big fish, i would understand, but the first two nems were huge.
