Looks like neptune is finally offering the new 2016 base unit on its own without having to buy the whole new package. Just released this month. Anyone interested in the new apex triton testing module that was displayed at the latest Macna..... I know im highly interested in this. It wont be available for apex classic users so its good news that us classic users can upgrade just the base unit to get on board for triton.

That was actually one of the reasons I switched to GHL. I did not like the fact that they released it the way they did. They didn't even have enough stock to cover part of the preorders let alone when they did release it Neptunes response was they didn't know when or even if they would release a stand alone. They also will be making most of the new modules which will likely not be compatible with the old apex. I had a grand ready to spend...so I went GHL instead and doubt I will be looking back. The Triton could be great, but if it is anything like other Apex products it will be released a year or two after they say it will be.

I have no idea what I would need that the classic doesn't do. I mean, unless they figure out a module for reading trace elements
