Anyone Using Aquatic Life 115?

I'm having nothing but hassles with this skimmer, which is supposed to be a great skimmer for a biocube. I'm emptying full collection cups of water 2-3 times a day

is it just water or skimmate ? yu may have it turned up to high

Just water. I was told to close the. Baffle so the water only goes halfway up spout but no matter where I put the baffle it still pumps out water. The skimmer is as high as I can get it

Mine fills up usually everyday, thats with the valve fully open.

id open yours fully or set for bottom of the spout.

The gate on top below the collection cup? No matter what position that's in the water level in the spout does not change. It's all the way up the spout

how long has it been running.
i also made a spacer with ductape to put under the bracket that holds the skimmer to raise it a bit more. think i had to cut some bracing off the canopy lid where the collection cup hits as well

I solved it... Feel so stupid. When I installed it I read that you should put some polly floss at the side of the skimmer at the gate to stop micro bubbles from going in your tank. I removed the floss and the water level dropped to the bottom of the spout. Air full oped getting dry bubbles about 1/4 to 1/2 way up spout. Much happier now

yeah i did that at the beginning too. when i switched to maxijet 600 there was more flow going into overflow which stopped the micro bubbles.
